Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we depart for Lake Manyara National Park, an unspoiled paradise renowned for its abundant birdlife and iconic tree-climbing lions. The park is framed by the dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley on one side and the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara on the other. The lake, which fluctuates with the seasons, becomes home to thousands of flamingos during the rainy season.
The name “Manyara” originates from the Maasai word ‘emanyara,’ referring to a plant commonly used to build protective enclosures around family homesteads (bomas). The park’s vegetation is incredibly diverse, ranging from savannah to lush evergreen forests.
As we explore the park, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and elephants. If you’re lucky, you might even see lions lounging in the trees.
After a delicious picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the natural beauty of the African wilderness.
Early in the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we embark on our journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is a truly spectacular destination, renowned for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. As Tanzania’s oldest national park and one of the oldest ecosystems on Earth, the Serengeti’s climate and vegetation have remained largely unchanged for millions of years.
While the Serengeti is home to an abundance of wildlife, it is perhaps most famous for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large herds of zebras and antelopes, move in a continuous cycle, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the Migration is influenced by the annual rainfall patterns.
After a scenic picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. We will spend the next two nights immersed in the incredible beauty of this iconic park.
Spending two nights in the Serengeti allows ample time to experience the magic of this extraordinary national park fully.
On the fourth day, we continue our exploration of the Serengeti. Enjoy a full day of game drives, witnessing the rich wildlife and breathtaking landscapes that make this park world-famous. From the vast herds involved in the Great Migration to the predators that follow them, every moment in the Serengeti is a wildlife enthusiast’s dream.
After another day of thrilling game drives, we return to our campsite for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we embark on an en-route game drive through the Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the last moments in this iconic park as we make our way toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
Upon arriving at Ngorongoro Crater, you will be captivated by its breathtaking beauty. Concealed within steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness featuring sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed, creating this natural wonder.
Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for its geological significance and its status as a natural reserve, home to some of the densest large mammal populations in Africa. The descent into the Crater is an adventure in itself, and once you reach the Crater floor, you’ll encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 species of birds.
This unique ecosystem also provides the best opportunity to see the endangered black rhino, often spotted roaming the open grasslands.
After a delightful picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the unparalleled beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater.
